Anita Williams Brown

Anita Williams Brown;  After 92 ¾ years of devoted service, Mrs. Brown entered her eternal rest on May 19, 2024.  Anita was born August 14, 1931, in Atlanta, Georgia to proud parents Lutie Eugenia Awtry Williams and William Francis Williams.  She grew up and graduated high school in Atlanta, and discovered her life long love of music as a pianist and vocalist.  She continued to serve the Lord with her gifts as she met and sang with her new Husband, Hugh Robert (Bobby) Brown, Jr.  After 24 years of raising    two boys and supporting her husband’s Army career, she continued to serve her Lord as pianist, counselor and prayer partner in their 2 churches in Fayetteville, NC, for 12 years. They then began their retirement years in Maryville, TN, where they continued their service to the Lord with their attendance and volunteer work at 2 churches during their 26-year residence.  Music was her service to her family and Lord on this earth.  Now she will sing for her Lord in His choir for Eternity.  

Anita was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.  She leaves behind her sons, Robert David Brown and William Kenneth Brown.   Their wives, Lori Wills Brown and Glenda Agnor Brown, as well as 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at the Grandview Cemetery Pavilion (2316 Graves Rd, Maryville, TN 37803) on Saturday, May 25 at 1:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to Madison Avenue Baptist Church, Maryville or Crossroads Community Church (Yorktown VA) – The Big Give, in her name.
