Andrew B. King, 88, beloved husband, brother and uncle went home to be with his Lord And Savior Jesus Christ, Friday, February 18, 2022. Proceeding him in death are his parents William Doyle King and Barbara Miller Burnett King, sister Joy King, and brother-in-law Pastor Mickey Park. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Ann; sisters Martha King Park and Judith King Barth( Jim), nine nieces and nephews and their families. Special caregivers: Trista, Davida, Ashlyn, and Chelsey. He met his wife, Ann, September 4, 1976, at Ridgecrest Baptist Assembly during a singles weekend. They have been married 42 blissful years. They felt very blessed that the Lord brought them together, many have said they would want a marriage as happy as theirs. Using his musical talents Andy has been involved in church and community most of his life. He helped start a mission church for his local church, was a Sunday school teacher, deacon, volunteer music director and helped entertain seniors in local assisted living centers. Besides being a singer and playing the banjo, and he wrote Five String Banjo published by Hatfield and Music. Andy was a well-known local figure and forecast weather for the national weather service in Knoxville, Southern California, and Alaska. He and his wife lived in Alaska for 15 years until his retirement. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Karnes. Everyone who knew Andy loved him. He was known for his charm, wisdom, kindness, humor and his knowledge of the Bible. Visitation for family and friends will be held at 1 PM Monday, February 21, 2022 at Smith Funeral Home 1402 Tuckaleechee Pike Maryville, TN 37803 with services at 2pm and Entombment at 3:00pm at Grandview Mausoleum, 2304 Tuckaleechee Pike Maryville, TN 37803.
