Andres Bachman

Andrés G. Bachman, age 82, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015 in Maryville, TN. Andrés was born in Colombia, South America to his Swiss parents, Gustavo Andrés Bachman and Loly De Rutté. Later he married and settled in Puerto Rico with his true love, Ileana Fuertes, where they had their children. Moving to Holliston, MA in 1979, and finally coming to Maryville in 2005. Andrés was a retired Civil Engineer, an international man, and a very humble person, with a strong faith which he shared with many throughout his life. He enjoyed gardening and repairing anything that may have needed fixing. Andrés was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Preceded in death by: his parents, his daughter María Eugenia Bachman, and his granddaughter Abby Bachman. Survivors include: the love of his life his wife Ileana Fuertes de Bachman; children and their spouses, Gustavo and Marta Bachman of Holliston, MA; Federico and Aviva Bachman of Tel Aviv, Israel; Ana Bachman of Washington, DC; Luis and Kim Bachman of Haverhill, MA; Jose and Paula Bachman of Blairsville, GA; María Elena and David Russell of Bellingham, MA; Laura and Charles Facey of Milford, MA; María Amparo and Al Goodniss of Shrewsbury, MA; and Roberto and Aimee Bachman of Raleigh, NC. Also survived by: 38 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Raul and Helena Bachman of Medellin, Colombia; and Mario and María Mercedes Bachman of Bogotá, Colombia. Many special family and church friends also survive. The celebration of Andrés' life and Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends prior to the Mass starting at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Andrés name to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
