Alvin M. Cooper

Alvin M. Cooper, age 91 passed away October 5, 2014. Alvin accepted Christ at 89, giving his family comfort and reason to rejoice as he will spend eternity in Heaven. He was retired from Alcoa after over 40 years and was a member of Local 309 and the 25-Year Club at Alcoa. He was preceded in death by: Wife, Georgia R. Cooper; Grandson, David Scott Cole; Parents, Kara & Lue Cooper; Brothers, Ray & Clay Cooper; Daughter-in-law, Margaret Cooper; Son-in-law, Sam Moses. Survivors include: Daughters, Wanda & husband G. W. Tipton, Debbie Moses; Son, William "Butch" & wife Eva Cooper; Grandchildren, Keith & Debbie Cole, Greg & Renee Tipton, Darlene & Marty Cable, Kristy & John Clark, Amy Leinart, Tony & Virginia Cooper, Kevin & Harmony Cole, Tina & David Rhea, & Rhonda Stringer, Rebecca & Scott Burchfield; Great-grandchildren, Ashley, Gage, Travis, Drew, Jessie, Beth, Landon, Miranda, Ellie, Joey, Sean Alvin, Nick, Megan, Faith, Houston, Jonah, Shelby, Torey, Harley, & Tucker; Brother, Jay & wife Helen Cooper. Mr. Cooper was blessed with many dear nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Faithful visitors Brother Jay, Terry Whitehead & Ray Lane. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Pastor William "Butch" Cooper officiating.
