Allene Binder

Binder, Allene Keller age 85 of Knoxville passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Shannondale Nursing Home. She attended Knoxville Business College and worked as a bookkeeper for Knox County Board of Education. Her life-long interest in genealogy lead to publication of the family history in 1995. She was a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is preceded in death by her husband, Horace H. Binder; parents, Lillian and Jacob Keller. Survivors include, daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Joe Peterson of Knoxville; sons and daughters-in-law, William and Elaine Spitzer of Acworth, GA, and Danny and Karen Spitzer of Knoxville; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister, Marie True of Knoxville; brother and sister-in-law, Homer and Wilma Keller of Gary, IN. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2007 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel. Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000.
