Allen Scott Effler

January 9, 1976 — May 18, 2024

Maryville

In loving memory of Allen Scott Effler, age 48 peacefully departed this world on Saturday, May 18. Allen's vibrant spirit continues to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. Survived by his beloved mother Cheryl (Braun) Young and her husband Jeff, his father Ike Effler and his wife Janice, and his daughter Christian (Effler) Rowland and her husband Kevin. Allen was also blessed with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom he held dear to his heart.

Allen entered this world on January 9th, 1976, in Blount County, Tennessee where he resided for the remainder of his life. A life filled with work, hobbies, and relationships. He graduated from Heritage High School with pride and furthered his education at Pellissippi Community College, where he honed his craft of photography, a passion that would accompany him throughout his life. His lens captured the beauty of both portraits and landscapes, weaving stories through his artistry. He worked at Home Depot and paint stores in the local area. Allen's expertise in paint consultation was exemplary. With a keen eye for color and an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction, he mixed paints with precision, ensuring every hue matched the vision of those who sought his guidance. Yet, Allen's talents were not limited. He had a passion for cooking and treated it as an art to be learned and practiced. He prepared dishes that delighted the palate and warmed the soul. His artistic flair extended to sketching and woodworking, where he crafted treasures with his skilled hands. He donated a sketch of Rich Mountain in Townsend that has been etched on head stones. A connoisseur of life's treasures, he amassed collections of coins, knives, and rare cigar boxes, each item a testament to his eclectic tastes. Perhaps his most endearing trait was his witty sense of humor and practical jokes, which his close friends and coworkers either endeared or endured depending on their point of view.

Through every pursuit, Allen remained grounded in his unwavering love for his family and friends. His bond with them was unbreakable, a source of strength and joy that enriched his journey through life. Though Allen has embarked on his heavenly journey, his memory will forever remain etched in our hearts. As we bid farewell, let us celebrate a life brimming with passion, creativity, and love. Rest in peace, dear Allen, knowing that you are deeply missed, even as your spirit continues to shine brightly in our lives.
