Alda Mae Brickey

Alda “Stiffie” Brickey passed away September 17 at Life Care Center of Blount County.  She was born in Townsend, TN and lived there with her husband Willie until 2021 when they moved to Regal Towers in Maryville.  She was a long-time member of Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church in Townsend.

Alda was preceded in death by parents Lee and Alice Rathbone, husband William T. Brickey, sisters Nellie Wear (Bob) and Bobbie Livingston (Hugh), brother-in-law Bill Wallace and niece Diane Headrick.  She is survived by two daughters, Amy Conroy (Mike) and Bonnie Walker (Rick), three granddaughters, Bailey Warfield (Daniel), Amy Conroy and Anne Conroy, sister Alice Wallace and a large extended family of nieces and nephews.  We want to thank her caregiver and friend Darlene Brewer who was with her and Willie for many years.

Alda dearly loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her granddaughters.  She and Willie also enjoyed travel, visiting all 50 states and 12 countries.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday September 20^th at 1 PM at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Townsend. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Heritage Center, P.O.
