Darrell Pryor

Albert Darrell Pryor, age 96 of Maryville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Morning View Assisted Living. Preferring to be called by his middle name of Darrell, he was a Korean War veteran and worked in management in the transportation business for many years. After retiring he spent most of his time gardening and, as he used to say, “making the sawdust fly” in his woodworking shop. He was a faithful Christian servant, having served in various roles at Broadway Baptist Church and First Baptist Church Maryville.

He was preceded in death by parents, James M. and Naomi Cummings Pryor; sisters, Eunice Pryor McCammon and Pauline Pryor Coulter; brothers, Earl Wayne, Samuel Chris and James M. (Jack). He is survived by his wife, of 74 years, Jean Rogers Pryor; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Tim Morton; granddaughter, Sarah Morton; several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may stop by to pay their respects and sign the register book from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Smith East Hall. Family and friends will assemble at 3:00 PM for Graveside Service and Interment Monday, April 17, 2023 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel.
