Albert L. Mashburn, Sr.

Mashburn, Sr. Albert L. age 65 of Louisville passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at home with his family. He attended Beech Grove Baptist Church and was Co-Owner of Mashburn Grading Co. of Louisville for 43 years. He graduated from Everett High School in 1959 and accepted a basketball scholarship from Carson Newman where he graduated in 1963. Albert played professional softball and basketball. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with all his friends. Preceded in death by: Parents, Fred & Juanita Mashburn. Survivors include: Loving wife of 43 years and undivided caregiver, Jane Lineback Mashburn; Sons, Albert Lea Mashburn Jr. & wife LeAnn of Lenoir City and John Ed Mashburn of Louisville; Grandchildren, Sarah Beth, Zackary, Jacob, and Blain Mashburn; Brother and Sister-in-law, Edward & Sandra Mashburn of Louisville; Sister and Brother-in-law, Wanda & Bill Whitehead of Maryville; Aunts, Della Raby and Trula Henry of Knoxville, Martha Kerr of Loudon, and Johnnie Kerr of Alcoa; Uncle, Ray Covington; Step-Grandmother, Pearl Mashburn; Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. John T. Walker of Madison, AL; Nieces and Nephews, Lori Hunt, Chris Whitehead, Allen Mashburn, Stephanie Wieber, Beth Shown. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Friday, September 1, 2006 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Kenny Armstrong officiating with a tribute given by Coach Dick Campbell. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Ballards Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment.
