Ailene Daris Goddard

Ailene Daris Goddard, age 75 of Madisonville died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at home. She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church in Maryville. Ailene and her husband, Truman owned and operated Architectural Sales Hardware Company in Colorado until retirement in 2000. After 50 years she moved back home to be near family. Preceded in death by her husband, Truman Goddard of 53 years on April 8, 2005; parents, Ray C. and Bess Roberts and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Houston and Ruby Goddard. Survivors include three sons, Gary Max Goddard of Madisonville, Charles Ray and wife Ronda of Madisonville, and Chris Alan and wife Kim of Cohutta, GA; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Max and Pat Roberts of Vonore; brother and sister-in-law, Betty Rhea and Harold Caldwell of Dandridge; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Sue and Joe Smith of Springfield, MO; several nieces and nephews complete the family. At the request of Ms. Goddard, there will be no receiving of friends. Family and friends will assemble at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 2009 at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery for a graveside service and interment.
